Kirk Hammett, the legendary lead guitarist of Metallica, has influenced musicians for over 40 years. He's trusted ESP for decades, and the new LTD KH-V is a star in his Signature Series. Available in three cool versions - Black Sparkle with black hardware and pickguard, Red Sparkle with gold hardware and pickguard, and Metallic Gold with gold hardware and cream pickguard. The KH-V has a neck-thru-body design, an extra-thin U-shaped three-piece maple neck, and a korina body at a 25.5” scale. Its Macassar ebony fingerboard has pearloid wave inlays and 24 extra-jumbo frets. Powered by Kirk's signature EMG Bone Breaker pickups (BB-B ceramic bridge and BB-N alnico 5 neck pickups), it can switch between crisp leads and smooth rhythm tones. Controls include volume, tone, and a three-way pickup selector. Other pro features are a TonePros bridge with string-thru-body and LTD locking tuners. Comes with an ESP deluxe hardshell case. Use the three-way pickup selector to switch between different pickup combinations for various tones. When playing, the extra-jumbo frets on the Macassar ebony fingerboard give you great playability. For storage, always use the included ESP deluxe hardshell case to protect your guitar. Keep the guitar in a dry and moderate temperature environment to prevent damage to the wood and electronics.
