The American Performer Telecaster Hum, crafted in Corona, CA, combines outstanding Fender humbucking tone and an authentic feel with new tone technologies. It's designed to inspire and take your playing to new levels. It features the Yosemite™ single - coil pickup for a rich, expressive tone and a DoubleTap humbucking neck pickup. This unique, patent - applied - for design merges humbucking and single - coil voices without volume loss in single - coil mode. The Yosemite pickups with flat - staggered pole pieces and wax pottings produce dynamic sounds for any music. The Greasebucket™ tone circuitry shapes the highs without adding bass. The 'Modern C' - shaped neck has a 9.5” - radius rosewood fingerboard and 22 jumbo frets for easy playing. Using your Fender American Performer Telecaster Humbucker is easy. First, tune it up with the Fender ClassicGear™ tuning machines. The 3 - position blade pickup switch allows you to choose different pickup combinations. Position 1 gives you the bridge pickup, position 2 combines the bridge and neck pickups, and position 3 uses the neck pickup. Adjust the master volume and Greasebucket™ tone circuit to get your desired sound. When not in use, store it in the included deluxe gig bag to protect it from dust and scratches. For maintenance, clean the strings regularly with a soft cloth to keep them sounding good. Check the truss rod occasionally using the 1/8' Hex (Allen) wrench to make sure the neck is in good shape. Also, keep the guitar away from extreme temperatures and humidity to prevent damage to the body and neck.
