The all-new JS Series Spectra Bass JS2 combines versatile style with a huge sound. Its brand-new offset body style, made of poplar with a large upper horn, distributes weight evenly for perfect balance and hours of comfortable playing. The bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint design offers great sustain, and the speed neck contour and 12' radius laurel fingerboard with 24 frets make it incredibly playable. The Spectra Bass JS2 has a unique sound. With a Jackson J-style bridge pickup and P-style neck pickup, it can deliver punchy growls or clear tones for funk, hard rock, or gospel. The hardtail bridge provides stability, better sustain, and a bolder timbre. You can adjust the tone with blend, bass boost, and volume controls, and use the push/pull selector to bypass or engage the active circuit for the bass boost. No need to worry about battery failure as a quick pull on the volume knob bypasses the active circuit. This 4-string bass is very affordable and comes in a beautiful tobacco burst finish with black hardware and a unique 2x2 headstock with a subtle J logo. Using your Jackson JS Series JS2 Spectra Bass is a breeze. First, make sure the bass is properly tuned using the Jackson® Sealed Die - Cast tuning machines. You can start playing right away, and experiment with the blend, bass boost, and volume controls to get the sound you like. If you're using the active bass boost, remember that you can bypass it by pulling the volume knob in case the battery runs out. When it comes to maintenance, keep your bass clean. Use a soft cloth to wipe off any dust or fingerprints after each use. Check the strings regularly for wear and tear, and replace them when they start to sound dull or lose their tension. The truss rod can be adjusted if needed using the included wrench, but be careful not to over - adjust it as this can damage the neck.
