The PT-6011-00 is a newly designed nut for your Gibson style guitar with a 3/16” thickness. It's permanently lubricated and perfectly slotted. Our slotted nuts are intentionally a bit tall. Simply sand the bottom to achieve the perfect string height. It can handle up to a .48 gauge low E string without slot widening.

Using this nut on your Gibson style guitar is easy. First, make sure it fits well in the guitar's nut slot. If it's a bit tall, you can sand the bottom of the nut to get the perfect string height. When installing, be gentle to avoid any damage. As for maintenance, keep it clean and dry. Since it's permanently lubricated, you don't need to add extra lubrication. And remember, it can handle up to a .48 gauge low E string, so you don't have to worry about widening the slot for this gauge.
