Product Detail

The MXR Timmy Overdrive is a game - changer for guitarists. It offers a vast array of gritty, textured tones. While it enhances your rig's sound, it preserves its core character. Housed in an MXR mini unit, it saves a ton of pedalboard space. This pedal is based on a design by veteran pedal builder Paul Cochrane, beloved by top - tier pros like Kenny Greenberg, Lyle Workman, and Brad Whitford. When Paul wanted to reach a wider audience, he partnered with the MXR design team. The Clip switch gives you three clipping styles, suitable for various situations. Whether you need a bold, always - on sound with high headroom to hit your amp's front end, a compressed and saturated sound for fat chords, or something in between, it's got you covered. The Bass and Treble controls offer more fine - tuning. They're cut - only, making it easy to dial in a clean boost while keeping your signal's character. The Bass control affects the pre - OD signal, helping you maintain low - end at lower Gain settings, and the Treble control affects the post - OD signal, allowing you to keep dirty settings smooth and musical. The MXR team, together with Paul, selected the LF353 op - amp, known for high output, high gain, and hi - fi signal delivery. This professional - grade pedal gives you sweet, harmonic breakup that responds to your playing and keeps your rig's personality, all in a compact size.

Using the MXR Timmy Overdrive is a breeze. First, connect it to your guitar and amplifier. Turn on the pedal and start adjusting the controls. The Clip switch offers three different clipping styles, so you can switch it according to the sound you want. For a big, bold sound, choose one style; for a more compressed and saturated sound, pick another. The Bass and Treble controls are cut - only. If you want to boost the low - end at lower Gain settings, adjust the Bass control. To keep the top - end smooth on dirty settings, use the Treble control. When it comes to maintenance, keep the pedal in a dry and clean place. Avoid exposing it to extreme temperatures or moisture. If it gets dirty, use a soft, dry cloth to gently wipe it. Also, make sure to use the correct power supply to avoid any damage.
