The black straps have top and bottom layers of aniline leather that's drum - dyed and tumbled for a better surface grain, sandwiching a high - quality suede middle layer for a plush feel. The brown version uses pull - up leather on the top layer, finished with oil and wax for a well - worn look. The 2” straps have contrasting stitching, while the 2.5” ones offer matching stitching. Using your Fender Artisan Leather Guitar Strap is easy. First, adjust the strap to your preferred length using the ladder - style adjustment tail. You can set it anywhere from 40” to 55”. Then, attach the strap to your guitar. When not in use, store it in a cool, dry place to keep the leather in good condition. To clean the strap, use a soft, dry cloth. For the black aniline leather, avoid getting it wet as it may affect the color. For the brown pull - up leather, if it gets dirty, a light wipe with a damp cloth followed by immediate drying should do the trick. Be gentle with the stitching to prevent any splitting.
