In 1984, Eddie Van Halen introduced his iconic red, white, and black striped 5150™ guitar. Little did he know it would inspire thousands of imitations. Now, EVH presents a new Striped Series 5150 model based on the original. It features the distinct 5150 striped motif and a single humbucker setup.
The guitar has a basswood body just like the original. The bolt-on quartersawn maple neck has a comfortable modified “C” profile, a hand-rubbed satin urethane finish on the back, and a unique “hockey stick” headstock. The 12'-16' compound radius maple fingerboard with 22 jumbo frets, black dot inlays, and a heel-mount truss rod adjustment wheel makes it easy to play.
It's equipped with a custom EVH® Wolfgang® alnico 2 humbucking bridge pickup. This pickup delivers great power, clear articulation, sweet sustain, and thick rhythms with a balanced EQ. A custom EVH-branded low-friction volume knob offers smooth volume swells.
The guitar comes with a rock-solid EVH-branded Floyd Rose® bridge. The locking tailpiece has fine tuners for each string and a patented EVH D-Tuna® for quick tuning changes between drop-D and standard.
With its red 5150 hologram numbers and star decals, the Striped Series 5150 is a high-performance guitar that looks as amazing as it plays.

Using your EVH 5150 Electric Guitar is a breeze. First, make sure it's properly tuned. You can use the EVH D-Tuna® on the bridge to quickly switch between drop-D and standard tuning. The volume knob is easy to control, and you'll get smooth volume swells thanks to its low-friction design.
When playing, the comfortable neck shape and smooth fingerboard make it easy to move your fingers around. The 22 jumbo frets give you plenty of room to play different notes.
As for maintenance, keep your guitar clean. Wipe it down with a soft cloth after each use to remove sweat and dirt. You can also use a guitar polish to keep the body looking shiny. Check the strings regularly and replace them when they start to wear out. If you need to adjust the truss rod, use the heel-mount adjustment wheel carefully.
Remember to store your guitar in a safe place, away from extreme temperatures and humidity. This will help keep it in good condition for a long time.
