In the hard - rocking 80s, it became a favorite among top guitarists. This new 80s Explorer is modeled after the popular 1984 version. It comes with a fast - playing SlimTaper™ mahogany neck and a rosewood fretboard. The iconic mahogany body is equipped with new 80s Tribute pickups that deliver the unique fat - toned sound and rich sustain of that era. Available in Ebony and includes a hardshell case. Neck features a SlimTaper profile, 628.65 mm scale length, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, 304.8 mm radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, Graph Tech nut, and glued - in set neck.
