Product Detail

The Explorer™, first launched in 1958, has won the hearts of metal and rock masters. By the 1970s, rockers were drawn to its futuristic shape and powerful sound. In the hard - rocking 80s, it became a favorite among top guitarists. This new 80s Explorer is modeled after the popular 1984 version. It comes with a fast - playing SlimTaper™ mahogany neck and a rosewood fretboard. The iconic mahogany body is equipped with new 80s Tribute pickups that deliver the unique fat - toned sound and rich sustain of that era. Available in Ebony and includes a hardshell case. Neck features a SlimTaper profile, 628.65 mm scale length, Indian Rosewood fingerboard, 304.8 mm radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, Graph Tech nut, and glued - in set neck. The body has an Explorer style, made of mahogany with a gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Hardware has a chrome finish, with an Aluminum Nashville Tune - O - Matic bridge, Aluminum Stop Bar tailpiece, Grover Mini Rotomatic tuning machines. Electronics include 80s Tribute neck and bridge pickups, 2 volume and master tone controls, 3 - way toggle pickup selector. Strings gauge is .010, .013, .017, .026, .036, .046.

Using this Gibson 80's Explorer Electric Guitar is a breeze. Just plug it into your amplifier using the 1/4' output jack. You can adjust the sound using the 2 volume knobs and the master tone control. The 3 - way toggle pickup selector lets you switch between different pickup combinations for various tones. When not in use, keep it in the included hardshell case to protect it from scratches and damage. For maintenance, clean the strings regularly with a soft cloth to keep them sounding good. Wipe down the body and neck to remove fingerprints and dust. You can also adjust the truss rod if needed to keep the neck in proper shape, but if you're not sure, it's best to take it to a professional guitar technician.
