Using your Fender Kingman Acoustic Bass is easy. First, tune it up using the open - gear vintage - style tuning machines. You can use the built - in electronic tuner for accurate tuning. When playing, the short 30' scale length and comfortable 1.5' nut width make it easy to reach the frets. If you're performing or recording, use the Fishman® Presys preamp to adjust the sound to your liking. Just play around with the volume, bass, mid, treble, and other controls. For maintenance, keep your bass in the included deluxe gig bag when not in use to protect it from dust and scratches. Wipe it down with a soft cloth after each use. Check the tuning machines regularly to make sure they're working smoothly. And don't forget to change the strings when they start to sound dull. The Fender® 8060 Phosphor Bronze Acoustic Bass strings are recommended for this bass.
