Product Detail
The all-new JS Series Spectra Bass JS2P combines versatile style with huge sound. Its brand-new offset body, made of poplar with a poplar burl top and a large upper horn, distributes weight evenly, reducing neck dive and providing perfect balance for hours of comfortable playing. The bolt-on maple neck with a scarf joint is super reliable, and its speed neck contour, 12'-radius laurel fingerboard, and 24 jumbo frets allow for lightning-fast play. This bass offers a unique sound. Whether you play funk, hard rock, or gospel, the Jackson J-style bridge pickup and P-style neck pickup deliver punchy growls or clear tones. The hardtail bridge enhances stability, sustain, and timbre. You can refine the tone with blend, bass boost, and volume controls. The push/pull selector lets you bypass or engage the active circuit for the bass boost, so you don't have to worry about battery power. This affordable 4-string bass comes in sophisticated Black Burst or Blue Burst finishes, with black hardware and a unique 2x2 black headstock with a subtle J logo. Features include a 34” scale length, poplar body with poplar burl top, bolt-on maple neck with scarf joint, 12” radius laurel fingerboard, Jackson pickups, and more. It's a right-hand instrument, made in ID. The neck has a satin finish, white dot inlays, and a dual-action head adjust truss rod. The body has a gloss finish and a Spectra Bass shape. The hardware includes a Jackson hardtail bridge, sealed die-cast tuners, and nickel-plated steel strings. The electronics have a PJ pickup configuration and volume, blend, and bass boost controls.
Using Your Jackson JS2P IV Spectra Bass Guitar: First, tune your bass using the Jackson sealed die - cast tuners. Plug it into an amplifier and adjust the volume, blend, and bass boost controls to get your desired sound. If the battery runs out, just pull the volume knob to bypass the active circuit and keep playing. When you're done playing, unplug it from the amplifier. Cleaning and Maintenance: Wipe the body with a soft, dry cloth after each use to keep it looking good. Check the strings regularly. If they start to sound dull or feel rough, it's time to replace them. You can use a string cleaner to keep them in good condition. For the fretboard, use a fretboard cleaner to remove dirt and grime. Storage: Store your bass in a cool, dry place. Avoid leaving it in direct sunlight or in a very humid environment, as this can damage the wood and electronics. If you're traveling with it, use a good quality bass case to protect it from bumps and scratches. Tuning and Setup: If you notice that the intonation is off or the action is too high or low, it might be time to take it to a professional for a setup. They can adjust the truss rod, bridge, and nut to make sure your bass plays and sounds its best.
