Product Detail
The Peavey 6505® MH is a gem for guitarists. It packs an all - tube preamp and power amp into a small, portable unit, delivering the iconic tones of the legendary Peavey 6505. With two channels mirroring the gain structure and voicing of its larger counterpart, it offers great flexibility. The channels share EQ, rich reverb, and an effects loop, all footswitchable for easy control. The T.S.I.™ tube monitoring feature keeps you informed about the health of your power tubes. The back panel is loaded with modern tech, like Peavey's exclusive MSDI output, USB recording output, headphone output, speaker defeat switch, and a built - in power attenuator. Key features include 2x EL84 power tubes and 3x12AX7/ECC83 preamp tubes, two footswitchable channels with 3 - band EQ, footswitchable crunch on the Rhythm channel, and more. It also comes with a footswitch, has an impedance switch for 16 or 8 - ohm cabinets, and weighs 16.64 lb (7.55 kg) unpacked.
Using the Peavey 6505 Micro Head Tube Electric Guitar Amplifier is a breeze. First, connect your guitar to the input. You can then choose between the two channels using the footswitch. Adjust the 3 - band EQ to get the sound you want. The footswitch also lets you control the crunch on the Rhythm channel, reverb, and the effects loop. For recording, use the USB output or the MSDI output. When using headphones, switch on the headphone output and use the speaker defeat switch. You can adjust the output power using the attenuator switch. As for maintenance, keep an eye on the T.S.I.™ indicator. If it shows that a tube needs replacement, do so carefully. Make sure to turn off the amplifier and unplug it before working on the tubes. Also, store the amplifier in a dry place to prevent damage. And remember, the included footswitch makes it easy to operate the different functions while you're playing.
