The Turnip Greens is a super - compact multi - effect pedal that combines the award - winning Soul Food Overdrive and Holy Grail Max Reverb. The Soul Food offers transparent sounds, from clean boost to intense overdrive. It can add punch to your tone, push your amp into saturation, or drive other dirt pedals to create new distortion effects. The Holy Grail Max comes with four well - crafted reverbs: Spring, Hall, Plate, and Reverse. Its new analog wet/dry control keeps a constant volume as you turn the Blend knob, and the dry signal remains analog through the pedal. The pedal's left side has the Holy Grail Max's controls and an independent footswitch, while the right side is for the Soul Food's controls and footswitch. There's a toggle effect - order switch in the middle to choose whether the overdrive or reverb comes first in the effects chain. You can also use the Send and Return jacks to insert effects between the two. Set the switch to the right for a traditional Soul Food to Holy Grail Max sound. Move it to the left and the Holy Grail Max comes before the Soul Food, allowing the reverb to be boosted by the overdrive for lush textures. You can select between true bypass or buffered bypass for the Soul Food section using an internal switch. In true bypass, the input directly connects to the amp when bypassed. In buffered bypass, the signal goes through a high - quality buffer. The new Turnip Greens comes with an EHX 9.6 - Volt/DC200mA AC Adapter.
Using the Turnip Greens is easy. First, connect it to your guitar and amp with the included EHX 9.6 - Volt/DC200mA AC Adapter. The left side of the pedal controls the Holy Grail Max reverb. Press its footswitch to activate the reverb effects, and use the knobs to adjust the type of reverb (Spring, Hall, Plate, or Reverse) and the wet/dry balance. The right side is for the Soul Food overdrive. Press its footswitch to turn on the overdrive, and use the controls to shape your tone from clean boost to intense overdrive. The toggle switch in the middle lets you decide the order of the effects. If you want a traditional sound, set it to make the Soul Food come first. For more lush textures, set it so the Holy Grail Max comes first. When you're done using it, turn it off properly. Keep it in a dry place to avoid damage.
